Fashion show held in Woolloomooloo bar highlights shit licensing conditions

The anti-competitive nature of NSW licensing conditions were highlighted tonight at a fashion show at the Taj Hotel "Blue" bar in Woolloomooloo.

As the modules had their hair done and the red carpet was vacuumed, the licensee Brook unceremoniously booted the assembled and rehearsed musicians from beside the catwalk out into the street before they were able to play alongside one of the designers portfolio, as their liquor licence specified no "live" music and he didn't want to get caught having musical instruments around.

Tramping out with amps and instruments past the DJ console connected to a massive sound system, with cd's being racked up as the mixer was being warmed up to doof doof into the night, its quite apparent that live musicians are the "niggers" of sydney nightlife in the 21st century.

It seems odd having hand crafted fashion but mass produced processed music, but then most people haven't ever noticed that our entertainment regulation was informed by orwell. Kind of like having a fashion show with modules dressed by big w and catered for by mcdonalds.

The sinister aspect is that we as a culture accept entertainment from screens and machines, but regulate and require a consent for a person live in person.

If accelerating the dumbing down of our society and denying jobs for creative souls with gumption is what you are after, Its was working oh so well, don't you tinking?

Thank god for Graham West and Frank Sartor for doing the business and implementing forthcoming reform!

Now, have you got your champers darlink? it's time to walk the walk, and snort the chalk!
