Iemmas cultural vision for sydney
PREMIER Morris Iemma has slammed the naysayers of Sydney, claiming
it was among the best places to live in the world and would only get
better.
Revealing for the first time his vision of the future city, he
envisaged a great sprawling metropolis borrowed from the cultures of
Europe and the US.
European-esque light rail would ring the CBD while live music pumped
through the wine bars and pubs of the inner city.
And the father of four has promised to inject some live music into the
new smaller bars planned for the city.
"The changes we're making to licensing laws are designed to breathe new
life into Sydney after dark," he said.
