NSW Parliament Resumes
NSW TV and Radio ratings are now expected to plummet for the next two weeks as NSW residents tune in to parliament on the web, and flee late night television as Hansard eventually comes online.
Much fun was had yesterday in the upper house, with a list of
interjections with references to marsupials, the coalition house dealer
bemoaning that one could't get arrested for armed robbery before
approaching the Count for legal advice on another matter:
The Hon. JOHN HATZISTERGOS: ......As I have said on a number occasions, I am very well qualified to give opinions. There was a time when I used to give extensive opinions.....
The Hon. Michael Gallacher: I would like to buy you at my price and sell you at yours.
The Hon. JOHN HATZISTERGOS: You could not afford me. I am very expensive..........
Over in the Bearpit, the comrades for Murrumbidgee and Epping must
have cosied up under the doona last night together doing their
homework, as both managed to feature standing order 129 in their
interjections. shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
