Thank you, Elizabeth Farrelly. You have summed up perfectly how many
of us feel about the disgusting pub environments in this town ("Time to
raise the bar on Sydney's risible rissole culture", October 24). Where
can I get a drink without aural and visual bombardment by ugly pokie
sounds, huge wall-size screens or a multitude of many small screens
dominating every room of every drinking establishment in Sydney? For
goodness sake, NSW Government. Give us the laws to enable the
establishment of small decent comfortable rooms to meet with our
friends, talk, drink and listen to music.
