NSW ALP caucus room on notice

The NSW Labor Government executive can be under no illusions that they are now under increasing scrutiny to act on social and liquor reform.

At the same time that Planning Minister Sartor was under pressure by local councils to have a say on pokies ( which unlike every other activity under the sun are exempt from planning regulation), Labor MLA Alison Megarrity warned her caucus colleagues that the State Government risks being seen as in the pocket of the powerful hotel industry if it concedes too much to the Australian Hotels Association on changes to liquor laws.
