THREE of the state's largest cities have thrown their support behind
Sydney Lord Mayor Clover Moore's push for more intimate hole-in-the
wall pubs.
Adding their support are the mayors of Parramatta, Newcastle and
Wollongong.
Parramatta Mayor Paul Barber said the small, intimate bar scene
would be perfectly suited for the evolving western suburbs.
"We're big on arts and culture here and this would go with our modern,
contemporary aspect," Mr Barber said. "It would allow people to stay
local without having to go to the trendy Eastern Suburbs for that
experience."
