We pay tribute to Jackie Orszaczky
Raise the Bar would like to pay tribute to musician Jackie Orszaczky after his recent passing on February 3, 2008. Jacks death leaves a void in the musical and cultural landscape of Sydney of unparralled proportions.
Jacks live gigs were legendary, in recent years having
residencies at the Maquarie Hotel, @Newtown, The Rose of Australia
Hotel in Erskineville, as well as going waaaaaaay back to the
Harbourside Brasserie, the Basement, and 'Round Midnight in Kings
Cross.
His contribution is well documented in these articles in the Sydney Morning Herald

Jack was particularly close to a certain member of Raise the Bar, and took great delight in being a part of the campaign.
Thanks Brother Jack - we will miss you terribly.
